We arrived in Saigon, also called Ho Chi Minh City, for the start of our 28 day Vietnam holiday. We are travelling independently, having booked flights on Vietnam Airlines at a local travel agent, and our first five nights at the Grand Hotel in Saigon via the internet. We plan to work our way north, travelling by bus and train, and leaving from Hanoi on Sunday 8th November.
